Basic user guide
Several times a year we conduct basic courses in the use of the Vegkart. Here you can download the latest course (June 2025).
The course contains basic information about the Vegkart: what the Vegkart is and an overview of its functionalities. Furthermore, various tasks are reviewed with examples that are typical to perform in the Vegkart:
- Draw European, national and county roads in an area
- Draw municipal pedestrian and cycle paths
- Find manholes and owners – Use link in email
- Find manholes and culverts that are not measured with coordinates
- Find culverts with a diameter over 300 mm
- Electrical contract - Find applications, year of establishment and owner of air spans
- Find traffic volume (ÅDT) and traffic registration stations
- Speed limit, check location of signs against segment data
- Find speed limits with missing decision number
- Find speed cameras and download datasets
- Find the length and material type of bridges along national road routes
- Retrieve the road surface and find road surface laying date
- Find condition/damage, rock cutting
- Find culverts without diameter on E-roads and main roads in a county
- Lighting point – find owner and maintenance manager
