User access and password
We offer a range of services for viewing, registering and maintaining data in the National Road Database (NVDB). Many of the services are open, while some require user access and login.
New user
NVDB API Les is open and requires no login. However, in order to register or change data in NVDB, you must have a user with write access.
Contractor
Contact your client to get the access you need. If you are delivering data on behalf of a municipality or the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, you will usually be invited into the appropriate contract in Datafangst and assigned the necessary rights.
If you need access to sensitive data, you must request extended rights via the contact form for NVDB (vegvesen.no). You will then receive a username that must be added to the contract.
For others
State-owned development companies and other stakeholders should contact us via the contact form for NVDB (vegvesen.no). Select "Brukeradministrasjon og tilganger".
Password
You can change or reset your password yourself by logging in to vegvesen.no/passord via ID-porten.
Remember that you have one user per environment (production/test), and must change the password in the correct environment.
